This program offers local businesses a simple, year-round way to support both GH Rotary and the Creekside Veterans Club — with recognition through event signage, "Flags for Heroes" designations, and more.
Here's how you can help: Think of a local business you know — maybe your employer, your favorite shop, or a company you have a connection with — and reach out! Our GH Rotary Club is a community of like-minded servants, but sometimes we don't know each other well. During Rotary Year '26-'27, we are dedicating the first Wednesday club meetings to hearing from our members. These talks will focus on your background, dreams and why you became a Rotarian. Please sign up for a time! You'll have 10 minutes and share the meeting with one other Rotarian.

Youth Protection Policy
District 7610 and GHRC strive to create and maintain a safe environment for all youth who participate in Rotary activities. To the best of their abilities, Rotarians, Rotaract members, their spouses and/or partners, and other volunteers must safeguard the children and young people they
encounter and protect them from physical, sexual, and emotional abuse.
The following practices should be followed by all Volunteers when interacting with youth and
other vulnerable persons:

b. The entrances to enclosed spaces should be, where practicable, open, or, at the least,
other persons should have the ability to observe what is happening in the room.
c. One-on-one interactions between an adult and a child should only occur within the
sight or sound of another adult, to the extent that it is possible.
d. If a child or other vulnerable persons requests a one-on-one interaction with an adult,
the adult must inform the other adults about the interaction and where it will take
place.
e. Without prior approval, photographs, videos, and films of children and other
vulnerable persons may only be produced with the permission of their parents,
guardians, or other responsible persons and, generally, may not be posted on social
media.
f. Adults are prohibited from showering or bathing with children, or other vulnerable
persons unless they are assisting a person who is incapable of showering or bathing by
themselves. In such a case of adult assistance, more than one adult should be present.
Any adult to whom a program participant reports abuse or harassment must:
-Assure privacy but not confidentiality.
-Get the facts, but do not interrogate.
-Avoid asking “why” questions, which may be interpreted as questioning the young person’s
motives.
-Be nonjudgmental and reassured.
-Emphasize that it was not his or her fault and that it was brave and mature to come to you.
-Document the allegation.
-Protect the young person and report immediately.
If you will be involved with youth in other than a casual basis (casual means basically no supervisory, oversight or care-taking responsibility for a youth, see the Policies and Procedures document), you may need to have a background check. Also, approval by the Board is required to participate in an activity that has more than casual involvement. Contact the Club’s Youth Protection Officer (Greg Street) if you have any questions.

Families Helping Families Project
Saturday, July 25
Georgetown South Project to support a local family of 6 struggling with dad's cancer. Great food, afternoon bingo, raffle and toys for kids. Everyone is welcome without signing up, but a few volunteers are needed for setup (7-9 am) and tear down (3-5 pm).
